- Can I create a new website using WebEditor+?
WebEditor+ was designed to enable you to manage your existing website. However, if you have the knowledge or ability to create a website from scratch, you can use WebEditor+ to do so. ^top
- Do I have to install software on my computer?
Absolutely not. WebEditor+ is a browser-based SaaS (Software as a Service). You simply login at webeditorplus.com to perform all administrative functions. ^top
- What web browser can I use with WebEditor+?
WebEditor+ is compatible with most internet browsers which include: IE 5.5+ (Windows), Mozilla Firefox 1.0+, Camino 1.0+ (Mac) and Netscape 7+. We are currently working on a solution for Safari. ^top
- Does WebEditor+ work on my ASP or PHP pages?
We are currently working on a solution for ASP and PHP pages, however we are not able to fully support them at this time. ^top
- Does WebEditor+ support CSS?
Yes, but your styles are not available for preview. ^top
- I have a 50-page website and only edit 10 of them on a regular basis. Do I have to select the Choice Plan??
No. You can select the Standard Plan until you get to your 26th editable page. At that time you will need to upgrade. There is no set-up fee on upgrades. ^top
- What operating systems does WebEditor+ work with?
WebEditor+ runs over Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. ^top
- Do I need to input any code on my website to use WebEditor+?
No. An FTP connection is required, but you don't need to enter any code on your pages to use WebEditor+. ^top
- What are the minimum system requirements?
The only requirement is an internet connection. ^top
- How does WebEditor+ ensure my page is not overwritten by another user?
WebEditor+ has a built-in Check-In/Check-Out feature that enables one author to work on a page while locking out anyone else. When the author saves the page, the page is unlocked for further collaboration or publishing. ^top
- What support does WebEditor+ provide for workflow?
WebEditor+ is designed to allow three levels of users:
Administrator
The Administrator can do everything from adding users to publishing pages to removing locked pages. This is the highest level of access.
Publisher
The Publisher can create pages and folders, edit content, approved content written by Authors, and publish pages to the internet.
Author
The Author has access to create and edit content, but must submit pages for approval by the Publisher or Administrator. ^top
- What if I need help with the software once I am a customer?
WebEditor+ customers have access to a 24/7 toll free support line. You can also submit a support ticket explaining your issue. Our support staff is trained to respond and remedy any situation that may arise. ^top
- What kinds of documents does WebEditor+ support?
With WebEditor+ you can insert images, PDFs, Flash files, and almost any other type of document you ability allows. ^top
- Can I see my HTML source code?
Absolutely. WebEditor+ allows the more advanced users to edit HTML source code & scripts from within the text editor. ^top
- Is there a limit to the number of users with one subscription?
No. The number of users is only limited by you. ^top
